Patient Billing Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Assist patients with the processing of payments, educating them on billing, verifying insurance, and addressing inquiries related to claims.

• Provide compassionate, precise, and compliant assistance while maneuvering through healthcare billing systems and regulations.

• Execute all functions related to payment processing and payment plans, along with advanced support for billing, insurance, and claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in customer service or call centers is mandatory.

• Strong preference for candidates with a background in healthcare billing, insurance, or claims.

• Preference will be given to those with experience in payment processing or financial transactions.

• A high school diploma or GED is required; additional education in billing or healthcare is an advantage.

• Must have technical skills with EMR systems and standard computer applications.

• Capability to work independently in a remote or virtual setting is essential.

• Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English is required.

• A background check is necessary in compliance with applicable laws.

• Paid Training - typically lasts 2 weeks from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday (EST)

• Employment Status - Full Time, 40 hours per week, eligible for benefits on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
