Patient Account Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Validate the setup of skilled nursing patients within PointClickCare (PCC)

• Process billing and follow up on claims related to skilled nursing Medicare, Managed Care, Medicaid, coinsurance, and private-pay

• Conduct quality assurance assessments of patient data in PCC

• Generate and bill for carve-out and high-cost drug claims

• Handle revenue input, claim generation, billing, and follow-up for immunization charges

• Stay updated on current and past Managed Care agreements

• Follow up on overdue revenue and prepare information for monthly discussions with communities and the Finance Director

• Assist communities with inquiries related to PCC, Medicare/insurance, contracts, and patient accounts

• Examine skilled nursing credit accounts for potential refunds, escheatment, or PCC adjustments

• Process write-offs and refunds via ServiceNow and PCC

• Execute month-end closing procedures for divested communities in PCC

• Monitor claims in relation to monthly billing deadlines

• Offer support to team members as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least one to three years of relevant experience

• Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience on a year-for-year basis, up to two years

• Previous experience in billing Medicare and insurance claims is essential

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word

• Comprehensive understanding of billing-related computer systems

• Familiarity with insurance payers

• Capability to organize daily office tasks for prompt information relay

• Strong communication and customer service abilities

• Effective interpersonal and organizational capabilities

• Ability to manage high volume workloads with attention to detail

• Compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations

• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, hear, and see

• Capacity to lift up to 10 pounds

• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC), Waystar, and SNF billing is preferred
