📋 Description

• Assists in Operations Improvement by identifying issues, analyzing data, testing, and implementing process enhancement opportunities to achieve and enhance revenue cycle metrics.

• Duties and Responsibilities for this Position: Troubleshooting Operational Issues & Data Analysis – 70% Act as the main troubleshooter for issues reported and inquiries from various PRMO operations within Epic and third-party systems.

• Proactively familiarize oneself with and remain updated on operational workflows throughout the revenue cycle.

• Investigate issues to identify systematic root causes.

• Employ Epic SlicerDicer and Tableau reporting tools for data analysis to examine issues and pinpoint trends.

• Formulate recommendations for system improvements, submit designs via ServiceNow for system alterations, and conduct both positive and negative testing prior to implementation, along with post go-live validation.

• Monitor System Optimization Opportunities – 20% Regularly review Epic development roadmaps and assist in tracking the Duke status of implementation.

• Attend webinars and forums provided by revenue cycle vendors to enhance knowledge of system capabilities.

• Keep an eye on Epic Pulse dashboards for potential opportunities.

• Other – 10% Assist with end-to-end testing efforts for bi-annual Epic upgrades as needed.

• Undertake analytical projects as assigned by leadership. Perform other related duties as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, accounting, finance, or a related field is required.

• At least four years of relevant experience.

• Prior experience in successfully managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders with a proven history of timely delivery or high-quality results is preferred.

• A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for two years of experience on a one-to-one basis.

• Epic Certification/Proficiency is preferred in a revenue cycle application.

• Knowledge of: Core systems and their integrations and interfaces (Epic, 3M, Onbase).

• Revenue Cycle operational workflows.

• Ability to: Investigate and analyze information and provide recommended solutions.

• Conduct root cause analysis of system issues/challenges.

• Identify and implement optimization opportunities.

• Effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Work collaboratively with a diverse range of constituencies within the community.

• Promote a positive work environment.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient medical and financial records in compliance with federal and state patient privacy laws.
