This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Manages a large volume of appointment requests through various channels, including phone calls, emails, work queues, and other electronic communications, for the scheduling of relevant medical exams, procedures, and tests, along with demographic collection and insurance registration when necessary.
• Responds to and prioritizes incoming calls and requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
• Processes scheduling from work queues to accommodate requests from both internal and external/referring healthcare providers.
• Arranges patient appointments and provides reminders to patients regarding essential items to bring, such as their referral and medications.
• Records thorough and precise messages and ensures timely and appropriate distribution of communications concerning clinical inquiries and escalation messages.
• High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a medical office or call center setting.
• Basic computer proficiency (specific software as required by the department).
• Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
• Proficient data entry skills with a strong attention to detail.
