
Patient Access Specialist II – Pediatrics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Manage appointment requests and conduct outbound calls to arrange Epic referrals.
• Communicate insurance participation, financial responsibilities, and time of service policies to patients.
• Gather patients' insurance and demographic details to be registered in EPIC.
• Execute real-time insurance verification.
• Collect pre-registration information to address Epic work queue accounts.
• Provide support and backup coverage as needed.
• Handle general faxing, filing, and mail sorting tasks.
• Facilitate team discussions concerning complex patient scheduling requirements.
• Work on escalated cases with higher complexity as assigned.
• Raise issues to lead/supervisor/manager for resolution.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including proficiency in medical terminology.
• Strong expertise in managing various scheduling complexities and related workflows.
• Exceptional customer service, problem assessment, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) or similar software is essential.
• An Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
• Previous high-volume customer service experience in a call center environment is preferred.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
