
Patient Access Specialist II – OBGYN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Coordinate appointment requests and make outbound calls to arrange Epic referrals.
• Communicate insurance participation, financial obligations, and time-of-service policies to the patient population.
• Gather patients' insurance and demographic information to be registered in EPIC.
• Conduct real-time insurance verifications.
• Collect pre-registration details to manage Epic work queue accounts.
• Provide assistance and backup coverage as required.
• Handle general faxing, filing, and sorting of mail.
• Lead team discussions concerning complex patient scheduling requirements.
• Address escalated cases with higher complexity as assigned.
• Forward issues to the lead, supervisor, or manager for resolution.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, including a strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Exceptional customer service, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) or similar software is essential.
• Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-volume customer service role in a call center is preferred.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
