This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Welcomes patients and responds to telephone inquiries.
• Manages scheduling for appointment requests.
• Identifies special requirements (e.g., accommodations, interpreter services, etc.).
• Explains insurance participation, financial obligations, and time of service policies to patients.
• Gathers patients' insurance and demographic details, ensuring all information is entered into EPIC.
• Conducts real-time insurance verification and interprets the results.
• Collects pre-registration data to resolve outstanding accounts in the Epic work queue.
• Makes outbound calls to facilitate Epic referral scheduling.
• Supports the team by providing assistance and back-up coverage as instructed by the Supervisor and/or Manager.
• Engages in general tasks such as faxing, filing, and sorting mail.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, including a strong command of medical terminology.
• A Bachelor's Degree or completion of college coursework is preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-volume customer service role within a call center setting is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is an advantage.
