This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Welcomes patients and handles incoming phone calls
• Arranges appointment requests
• Identifies special requirements (e.g., accommodations, interpreter, etc.)
• Communicates insurance participation details, financial responsibilities, and time of service policies to patients
• Gathers patient insurance and demographic details, ensuring all information is accurately recorded in EPIC
• Conducts real-time insurance verifications and interprets the results
• Collects pre-registration data to address pending Epic work queue accounts
• Makes outbound calls for Epic referral scheduling
• Contributes to team efforts by providing support and backup coverage as needed and directed by the Supervisor and/or Manager
• Engages in general faxing, filing, and mail sorting tasks
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• At least 2 years of pertinent experience with proficiency in medical terminology
• A Bachelor's Degree or college-level coursework is preferred
• Previous experience in high-volume customer service within a call center environment is preferred
• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are a plus
