This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Schedule appointments for patients regarding diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician visits, and various procedures/treatments.
• Collect and confirm demographic and insurance details.
• Register patients and input data into the scheduling system.
• Operate in a call center-like environment.
• Achieve individual quality metrics.
• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients, families, staff, physicians, and community members.
• High school diploma, certificate, GED, training, or relevant experience.
• Successfully complete the Patient Access training course.
• Capable of working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized.
• Team-oriented individual.
• Compassionate with strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.
• Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Accurate typing skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines such as HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure.
• Understanding of medical necessity compliance guidelines.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.
• Less than 1 year of the minimum required experience.
