Patient Access Scheduler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic tests, surgical procedures, therapy sessions, physician office visits, and various treatments.

• Collect and confirm demographic and insurance details.

• Register patients and input data into the scheduling system.

• Operate within a call center-like environment.

• Achieve individual quality performance metrics.

• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, along with families, employees, physicians, and community members.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certification, GED, Training, or Experience.

• Successfully complete the Patient Access training course.

• Capability to function effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.

• Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.

• Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, EMR systems, etc.) and proficient typing skills.

• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, particularly regarding medical necessity compliance guidelines.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.

• Less than 1 year of the minimum required experience.
