This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic tests, surgical procedures, therapy sessions, physician office visits, and various treatments.
β’ Collect and confirm demographic and insurance details.
β’ Register patients and input data into the scheduling system.
β’ Operate within a call center-like environment.
β’ Achieve individual quality performance metrics.
β’ Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, along with families, employees, physicians, and community members.
β’ Uphold the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence.
β’ High School diploma, Certification, GED, Training, or Experience.
β’ Successfully complete the Patient Access training course.
β’ Capability to function effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
β’ Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
β’ Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
β’ Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.
β’ Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, EMR systems, etc.) and proficient typing skills.
β’ Familiarity with regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, particularly regarding medical necessity compliance guidelines.
β’ Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.
β’ Less than 1 year of the minimum required experience.
