This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collect, verify, and maintain patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information accurately.
β’ Review patient accounts for completeness and address registration discrepancies prior to scheduled services.
β’ Ensure that all necessary documentation is thoroughly completed and accurately recorded.
β’ Confirm insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorization requirements across various payer types.
β’ Obtain, monitor, and document prior authorizations and referrals while meeting payer requirements.
β’ Investigate and resolve complex insurance eligibility, authorization, and coverage issues independently.
β’ Communicate authorization requirements, financial responsibilities, and coverage concerns to patients, providers, and internal stakeholders.
β’ Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments while adhering to client and provider scheduling guidelines.
β’ Act as a point of contact for escalated inquiries from patients, providers, and clients.
β’ Provide exceptional customer service while addressing complex scheduling and patient access challenges.
β’ Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in all assigned systems.
β’ Ensure compliance with HIPAA, client requirements, payer guidelines, and organizational policies.
β’ Identify workflow inefficiencies and suggest process improvements to enhance operational performance.
β’ Participate in departmental meetings, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is required.
β’ One to four years of experience in Patient Access, Medical Scheduling, Registration, or a related healthcare field is required.
β’ Proven ability to independently verify insurance eligibility, obtain prior authorizations, and manage appointment scheduling.
β’ Experience in resolving moderately complex insurance, authorization, or patient access issues with minimal guidance.
β’ Proficiency in using the electronic medical record (EMR) system Cerner is required.
β’ Understanding of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans is essential.
β’ Excellent skills in customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based healthcare applications.
β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
β’ Capability to work independently in a remote setting with limited daily supervision.
