Passive Fire Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct fire door inspections, compartmentation surveys, and various fire safety evaluations at residential and educational facilities throughout London and the Southeast.

• Analyze and interpret fire strategies to determine compliance and facilitate informed decision-making.

• Foster positive relationships with residents, clients, and site teams while performing on-site surveys.

• Detect violations in fire compartmentation, including issues with fire doors and other passive fire protection measures.

• Evaluate current fire safety measures and provide clear, practical suggestions for enhancement.

• Generate professional, precise, and comprehensible reports outlining findings and recommended actions.

• Keep abreast of changing fire safety legislation, guidance, and industry best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant experience in fire safety, building surveying, passive fire protection, or a similar field.

• Demonstrated experience in performing fire door inspections, compartmentation surveys, or comparable fire safety evaluations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and effectively manage your workload in a remote, field-based environment.

• Willingness to travel throughout Central and Greater London, with occasional trips to client sites further away.

• Ability to visit Karntek's Stafford head office periodically as needed.

• Flexibility to stay overnight when project travel exceeds 1.5 hours from home.

• Full UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.

• Successful completion of an Enhanced DBS check (arranged by Karntek).

• Desirable: FDIS qualification or fire door inspection training.

• Desirable: CSCS Card.
