This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Formulate and implement Link's payment partnership strategy encompassing card networks, card issuers, local payment methods, as well as crypto and stablecoins.
• Negotiate and oversee commercial agreements with payment partners to broaden Link's acceptance footprint, enhance authorization rates, and enable new payment functionalities.
• Acquire an in-depth understanding of the card network and issuer landscape—including scheme regulations, tokenization frameworks, authentication protocols, and competitive dynamics—to guide partnership strategy.
• Foster partnerships that position Link as the payments layer for agentic commerce, collaborating with networks and issuers to set rules, liability frameworks, and technical standards for agent-initiated transactions.
• Collect feedback from and coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including product, risk, compliance, engineering, and security) to drive the development and execution of partner strategy, including our global LPM roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to outline requirements and shape Link's payments product roadmap based on partner capabilities and market opportunities.
• Identify partner stakeholders who will advocate for Stripe, inform them of Link's value proposition, and foster alignment between Stripe and our partners' executive teams.
• Recognize and thoroughly examine new partnership opportunities, ultimately advising relevant decision-makers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrate an operationally focused mindset, capable of guiding teams through intricate relationship management tasks by establishing a clear vision and maintaining efficient processes.
• 8+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, corporate development, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in or closely collaborating with card networks, card issuers, digital wallets, or payments infrastructure providers.
• 3+ years of experience negotiating commercial agreements with partners, including scaling such agreements across multiple partners.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders across a diverse range of functions, including at executive levels.
• Technical proficiency, particularly the ability to comprehend product strategy and leverage this understanding to define requirements for scaling products through partnerships.
• Experience in developing partnership strategies and identifying, sourcing, and assessing new partnership opportunities in greenfield segments.
• Strong agency, adept at navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced organization, and thrives on a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
