This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Establish and oversee a cohesive AI strategy across three areas: internal operations, consulting projects, and product development.
• Act as the essential link between AI innovation, consulting, and product teams, facilitating alignment on objectives, prioritizing investments, and addressing the challenges that arise from rapid capability development across diverse teams.
• Serve as a valuable resource for our account leaders during client discussions, confidently advising when AI may not be the appropriate solution.
• Manage the business case for AI investments, including cost estimates, ROI frameworks, and monitoring time and revenue returns against forecasts.
• Develop the AI communication narrative and market positioning, ensuring alignment with Beghou's overarching go-to-market strategy.
• Determine staffing and delivery methods for customized AI and analytics projects.
• Maintain a centralized perspective on the requirements for our personnel to operate efficiently in an AI-enabled environment.
• Over 12 years of experience in life sciences and AI or advanced analytics, with significant time spent in a consulting or advisory role.
• Proven experience in leading or supervising AI-driven initiatives within pharmaceutical commercial settings, with an understanding of what succeeded, what failed, and the reasons behind these outcomes.
• Knowledge of contemporary AI/ML methodologies (LLMs, generative AI, machine learning, agentic systems) at a level suitable for informed strategic decision-making.
• Practical insight into commercial AI systems in life sciences — beyond mere tool familiarity, encompassing experience in the design, deployment, and evaluation of these systems in real-world commercial scenarios.
• A history of cross-functional leadership and organizational alignment in dynamic, complex environments.
• Experience in business development within a professional services or consulting context, either through ownership or contribution.
• A demonstrated commitment to staying updated — actively exploring new tools, tracking capability advancements, and translating innovations into applicable insights for the business and clients.
• An advanced degree in a relevant discipline (Data Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or equivalent experience).
