Part-Time Medical Biller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and management of claims and billing processes.

• Prepare and submit claims for medical services to various insurance providers.

• Enhance billing practices to ensure all potential charge opportunities are utilized.

• Input patient information, including demographics, procedures, diagnoses, charges, payments, and balances, utilizing medical billing software.

• Maintain accurate patient billing records.

• Carry out additional administrative tasks related to claims and billing as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing within the inpatient environment.

• Familiarity with inpatient settings and knowledge of critical care billing.

• Experience with critical care billing codes and telemedicine practices.

• Proficient in medical billing software, with prior experience using Athelas Insights preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong data entry capabilities.
