This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee adult recreational tennis leagues (USTA League) in communities across Western Massachusetts to guarantee effective coordination, delivery, and retention of the program and its participants.
• Organize and participate in meetings (both virtual and in-person) with volunteer committees, team leads (captains), prospective players, community members, teaching professionals, facilities, and other tennis providers to promote recreational adult league tennis.
• Manage and relay team registration information and assist with player registration processes.
• Engage proactively with facilities regarding availability to establish and manage schedules promptly while adhering to Section and National deadlines. Develop and distribute high-quality schedules using the designated technology platforms.
• Ensure adherence to local procedures and regulations while managing the program.
• Accurately convey local league information to participants.
• Serve as the primary contact for all customer service inquiries related to the programs. Address conflicts that may arise and escalate issues to the supervisor as needed.
• Communicate and confirm team involvement in post-season play.
• Monitor the program platform to ensure compliance with local regulations and promptly address and rectify any violations.
• Validate program and player eligibility, site availability, and compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Leverage data and reports to make informed decisions that enhance the success of the programs.
• Develop and coordinate new programs and initiatives aimed at increasing participation within the program.
• Assist interested players in getting connected to teams and facilitate the formation of new teams when groups of players with similar rating and eligibility levels are identified.
• Cultivate relationships with partner providers and facilities that support the growth of tennis in alignment with the organization’s strategic vision and departmental goals.
• Secure buy-in from partners, players, facilities, and other essential stakeholders to drive program success and impact the mission positively.
• Contribute to the development of innovative programs that foster unique and comprehensive participation growth.
• Recruit new volunteer captains and provide necessary support for captains and players.
• Assist facilities and players in joining the USTA League system, recruit players to take on captain roles, and help in team formation.
• Collaborate effectively with Local League Coordinators and Section Staff.
• Organize and manage opportunities for both new and returning tennis players to engage in USTA League play.

• Minimum qualifications: Candidates must reside in New England, with preference given to those living in Massachusetts, particularly Western Massachusetts. Flexibility for travel and working hours, including some evenings and weekends, is required. A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Monday.com, and Excel is preferred; knowledge of TennisLink and an understanding of tennis are advantageous. Ability to learn new software platforms is essential. Experience in coordinating tasks for on-site and off-site events is beneficial. Reasonable accommodations will be made based on qualifying exemptions.
