
Part Time Inpatient Telephonic Staff Pharmacist – Evenings, Overnight

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Deliver remote telepharmacy services to several hospital clients across different states.
• Execute remote order entry, order verification, drug verification, and provide counseling to patients and staff.
• Support multiple clients while navigating various pharmacy information systems.
• Offer proactive clinical pharmacy services in accordance with client-specific guidelines and Cigna policies.
• Provide drug information and therapeutic recommendations, including adjustments in dosing, interactions, compatibilities, and infusion guidance.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of IV fluids, TPN, narcotic/cardiac drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and related therapies.
• Address medication considerations for pediatric, geriatric, pregnant/nursing, renal/hepatic impairment, and HIV populations.
• Counsel patients, nurses, and medical staff regarding the safe use of medications.
• Investigate and resolve medication variances within a 48-hour timeframe.
• Learn and operate within various hospital pharmacy systems.
• Acquire and uphold multiple state pharmacist licenses.
• Document orders, interventions, and recommendations by the conclusion of each shift.
• Ensure adherence to relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Troubleshoot system or connectivity problems as they arise.
• Utilize VPNs, PIS platforms, automation systems, Microsoft Office, Snagit, and other common software tools.
• Engage in ongoing training and maintain necessary access credentials, licenses, and reciprocity.
• Meet and sustain company productivity metrics.
• Work evening, overnight, weekend, and on-call shifts, with a minimum of 1–2 shifts every two weeks.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is required.
• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing.
• Additional state pharmacist licenses are preferred in Ohio, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maine, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.
• A minimum of 2+ years of inpatient hospital experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proven customer service skills are required.
• Knowledge of formulary management and P&T procedures is necessary.
• Familiarity with client/server applications is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, internet navigation, and email communication.
• Overnight inpatient hospital experience is strongly preferred.
• A hospital residency is preferred but not mandatory.
• Board certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work evenings, overnight, weekends, and on-call shifts is essential.
• Must be able to work at least 1–2 shifts every two weeks.
• Home internet service through a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary state licenses, access credentials, and reciprocity is essential.
