Part-Time Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Travel to rural areas to install and service our devices at farm locations, with a range of 1-50 visits in a single day.

• At each site, you will need to disinfect tires and boots, climb feed bins that are between 10 and 40 feet tall, and install our sensor along with a small solar panel inside the bin.

• The installation process generally takes 10 to 15 minutes.

• Troubleshoot basic issues on field devices that require servicing when applicable.

• Follow biosecurity protocols as necessary for each farm location.

• Keep accurate records of mileage and time sheets.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma.

• Certification for working at heights, including a comprehensive understanding of using fall protection equipment.

• Clean driving record with the capability to drive for 8 to 10 hours daily.

• A reliable smartphone with a basic understanding of its use and the ability to take simple measurements.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and proficiency in English.

• A positive attitude and a service-oriented mindset.

• A solid work ethic with high personal standards and respect for others.

• Trustworthy, punctual, and dependable.

• Capability to work in various weather conditions.

• Physically fit to climb and lift objects exceeding 50 lbs.

• Experience working at heights.

• Familiarity with using power tools.

• Experience in handling electronics.
