This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Commitment to teaching excellence.
• Provide online instruction to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
• Initiate, facilitate, engage, and moderate discussions in online classroom forums.
• Serve as a faculty leader in your classes, fully embracing the Community of Inquiry Framework, which includes Teaching Presence, Cognitive Presence, and Social Presence.
• Assess and grade students' coursework, assignments, and papers within the timelines established by APUS policy, offering constructive feedback to support student learning and success.
• Adhere to APUS guidelines and standards for quality online faculty engagement.
• Actively participate in the classroom and respond to emails, etc., at least every other day, including one day over the weekend.
• Stay informed about classroom procedures and the use of instructional materials.
• Engage in professional development to improve teaching skills and effective online learning strategies.
• Conduct scholarly research and engage in professional activities.
• Attend scheduled discipline-specific and administrative meetings.
• Keep current with ‘discipline’ knowledge by engaging in professional communities related to your field.
• Support APUS initiatives and departments.
• A doctoral degree in Accounting or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• CPA, CMA, or another professional accounting certification is highly preferred.
• Prior college-level teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience in online teaching is preferred.
• A proven record of excellence in teaching.
