This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
β’ Collaborate with residents of the District of Columbia to process SNAP applications, mid-certifications, and re-certifications.
β’ Partner with D.C. Hunger Solutions staff to devise strategies for a more streamlined SNAP application process.
β’ Evaluate SNAP applications and conduct interviews with both new and existing District SNAP clients.
β’ Assist in the re-determination status of SNAP benefits.
β’ Work in conjunction with the SNAP/WIC Outreach Associate to process SNAP pre-screening applications.
β’ Provide assistance to the Anti-Hunger Program Associate, focusing on SNAP and Special Populations.
β’ Identify and cultivate opportunities to enhance and develop solutions for the SNAP application process in the District.
β’ Document and monitor interactions with District SNAP Clients.
β’ A minimum of six months of relevant experience working with SNAP clients in the processing of applications.
β’ Strong conceptual, strategic thinking, and creative abilities.
β’ Detail-oriented with effective planning and implementation skills.
β’ Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
β’ Proven capability to effectively engage with families experiencing low-income challenges and community-based organizations.
β’ Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
β’ Ability to gather, analyze, and report on program data effectively.
β’ Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
