Part-Time American Sign Language Teacher, Grades 9-12

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Provides instructional delivery.

• Identifies and implements instructional techniques, strategies, and methods, adjusting curriculum and learning styles to accommodate and evaluate student needs.

• Keeps open communication with parents/guardians regarding academic and disciplinary matters through various channels such as phone calls, notes, and progress reports.

• Conducts clerical tasks including documenting communications in the Student Information System (SIS) and finalizing student grades.

• Develops activities and resources, strategies, and methods for diverse teaching approaches, including designing lesson plans that align learning objectives with school guidelines.

• Evaluates and assesses student performance, behavior, and progress through grades, progress reports, and comprehension of learning objectives.

• Ensures confidentiality of all student and staff information.

• Collaborates effectively to fulfill the overarching goals of the school program.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited institution.

• A valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; appropriate endorsements may be necessary depending on the instructional area or successful completion of relevant AEPA or NES proficiency examinations.

• Professional verification of effective classroom teaching performance and/or student teaching experience.

• Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• A satisfactory criminal background check.

• An active Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
