Paralegal Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee litigation files from initiation to resolution, including preparations for trial.

• Draft and submit pleadings, address discovery requests, and assist with motion practices.

• Order and monitor medical records, coordinating expert evaluations and disclosures.

• Prepare materials for arbitration and trial, including jury instructions when relevant.

• Track case deadlines to ensure timely service and adherence to compliance requirements.

• Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to keep organized, high-quality case files.

• Provide support for insurance defense cases related to bodily injury claims.

• Work closely with seasoned attorneys on impactful cases.

• Offer legal assistance to Allstate’s Litigation Services team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must fulfill the minimum qualifications for paralegals as stipulated by relevant state law.

• Preferably have over 5 years of experience as a Paralegal with a focus on insurance defense or civil litigation.

• Demonstrated experience in managing high-volume caseloads in a dynamic legal setting.

• Knowledge of legal processes, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and court submissions.

• Outstanding organizational abilities to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.

• Must undergo a background investigation.

• Must have a reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

• A dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with suitable desk and seating arrangements.
