This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee business immigration cases from intake to filing and follow-up, with a focus on O-1, EB-1A, and EB-2 NIW petitions.
• Conduct client intake, initial assessments, client communications via calls and emails, and gather supporting documents.
• Prepare and finalize USCIS forms along with necessary supporting documentation.
• Assist attorneys with strategic planning and organization of evidence for extraordinary ability, exceptional ability, and national interest cases.
• Perform legal and factual research related to business immigration topics.
• Draft, revise, and proofread petition letters, legal briefs, support letters, cover letters, and other immigration-related filings.
• Evaluate client evidence and identify any missing, inconsistent, or pertinent information.
• Communicate directly with clients to provide updates on case progress.
• Maintain client files, manage case management systems, keep accurate records, and meet deadlines.
• Handle multiple cases while ensuring high quality, accuracy, and timely submissions.
• Track case progress and stay informed on relevant USCIS developments.
• Contribute to immigration-related blog posts and educational materials as needed.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of the firm's remote team.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in U.S. business immigration.
• Proven experience in preparing O-1, EB-1A, and/or EB-2 NIW petitions.
• Prior experience in a U.S. immigration law firm is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of USCIS procedures, forms, supporting evidence, and filing requirements.
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Spanish language skills are a significant advantage, though not mandatory.
• Strong skills in legal research, writing, proofreading, and analysis.
• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple cases and deadlines independently.
• Ability to work effectively within a fully remote, international team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, case management systems, and other standard legal technologies.
• Reliable internet connection and a computer suitable for remote work.
• A law degree or a degree in a related field is preferred, but relevant U.S. immigration experience will be given considerable weight.
