This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as a representative for TD Insurance through both verbal and written advocacy before the License Appeal Tribunal (Tribunals Ontario).
• Manage all litigation elements of cases from initiation to resolution.
• Create legal documents and instruments informed by legal research and a thorough understanding of laws and legal procedures.
• Provide advice and take direction from Dispute Resolution specialists.
• Deliver consistent updates and evaluations based on an analysis of medical records, financial documents, and applicant submissions.
• Oversee the upkeep of files and relevant databases.
• Interact directly with clients and/or external counsel to collect and supply necessary information and documentation.
• Conduct legal research pertinent to assigned cases.
• Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and sensitive matters.
• Engage in special projects as needed.
• Completion of a Paralegal program at an accredited college.
• Currently licensed as a Paralegal by the Law Society of Ontario.
• At least 1 year of direct experience with LAT.
• Experience in mentoring, managing, or overseeing paralegals and junior lawyers on LAT cases.
• Base salary ranging from $66,800 to $94,300 CAD.
