• Manage a caseload of around 50-60 personal injury cases, overseeing them from the filing of a complaint to resolution.
• Take charge of the daily scheduling of both internal and external deadlines pertinent to each case under management.
• Formulate case strategies and provide guidance and direction to case managers and intake specialists.
• Frequently consult with clients and third parties to effectively advance cases towards a successful resolution.
• Conduct monthly case assessments to ensure clients receive proactive communication at least once a month.
• Input client notes and relevant case details into the Case Management System.
• Perform in-depth research and analyze case-specific legal issues to prepare documentation for the managing attorney.
• Draft legal documents including complaints, government claims, motions, briefs, and memorandums of law for attorney review and filing.
• Review or generate responses to discovery requests.
• Prepare for statements, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.
• E-file all necessary court documents in both state and federal courts.
• Coordinate the service of summons and complaints.
• Summarize medical records and deposition transcripts.
• Create trial binders and exhibits.
• Conduct evaluations for 998 offers at each litigation stage.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the attorney.
• Collaborate effectively with the team, including staff members at various experience levels.
• Build strong relationships with the Firm's clients.
• Communicate with the managing attorney regarding the caseload and specific cases that need further guidance.
• Interact with opposing counsel and court staff.
• Relay any settlement and negotiation offers to the client and attorney.
• Comply with the Firm's policies and procedures, ensuring that 80% of work time is spent on productive billable hours.
• Review and enter all relevant KPIs as established by the managing attorney.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a paralegal, ideally in personal injury or litigation.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of litigation processes, including the drafting of legal documents, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Experience in independently managing a high-volume caseload (50+ cases preferred).
• Proficiency in case management systems (e.g., Filevine, Clio, or similar tools).
• Familiarity with e-filing in both state and federal courts.
• Strong skills in research, analysis, and problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of personal injury terminology, medical records, and settlement processes is advantageous.
• Must be available to work during U.S. business hours (time zone alignment required).
