Immigration Paralegal – U.S. & Canada Immigration Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Prepare and oversee immigration case files for both employment and family-based applications.

• Accurately complete and review DS-160 and DS-260 forms based on information provided by clients.

• Collect and assess supporting documents to guarantee that applications are thorough and compliant.

• Generate immigration case documentation utilizing Serenade immigration software.

• Draft supporting letters and compile application packages following established templates and processes.

• Organize and maintain case files and documentation in OneDrive or comparable shared systems.

• Examine applications for correctness, completeness, and compliance before they are reviewed by attorneys.

• Identify and address common issues with DS-160 forms, including corrections, updates, and requirements for consular submission.

• Maintain well-organized case workflows to ensure efficient preparation and timely submissions.

• Assist attorneys by providing thoroughly prepared, review-ready case packages.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2+ years of experience in U.S. and Canadian immigration law.

• Practical experience in preparing DS-160 and DS-260 forms.

• Strong understanding of U.S. nonimmigrant visa categories, including B1/B2, E-2, L-1, O-1, H-1B, and related classifications.

• Experience in preparing applications for both employment-based and family-based immigration.

• Capability to collect client information and accurately prepare immigration forms.

• Familiarity with reviewing DS-160 applications for completeness and compliance before attorney review.

• Experience in utilizing Serenade immigration software.

• Proficiency in preparing case documentation using templates and standardized workflows.

• Background in organizing legal documentation within shared file systems like OneDrive.

• Excellent written English communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Experience supporting U.S. and Canadian law firms in a remote capacity.
