This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee all administrative functions related to legal cases
• Edit and prepare various types of correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, legal documents, and other materials
• Maintain electronic files, organized file indexes, and detailed case files
• Schedule depositions, appointments, meetings, seminars, dinners, luncheons, and other events
• Review and electronically categorize emails
• Submit pleadings to courts through legal messenger services or electronically
• Offer legal and administrative assistance to attorneys and paralegals within a multidisciplinary team
• Foster client and business-associate relationships while delivering exceptional customer service
• Provide updates on client service status and follow up on pending documents and services
• Collaborate with title contacts to finalize outstanding tasks, including recordings and missing documents
• Prepare pleadings such as Complaints, Motions, Notices of Hearings, Affidavits, Defaults, Notices of Actions, and Notices of Publications
• Review closed, active, and hold files, including forwarding foreclosure fee and cost invoices
• Organize document production and identify privileged documents
• Create reports and monitor the progress of outstanding tasks
• Proofread legal documents and perform additional duties as required
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 3–5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal or a general understanding of litigation/bankruptcy proceedings
• Certification as a Paralegal is advantageous
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Competence in internet research practices
• Familiarity with case and document management software
• Solid understanding of law firm policies and procedures
• Capability to draft, transcribe, proofread, and edit correspondence, reports, and legal documents
• Effective communication skills with clerks, judges, defense attorneys, clients, and business associates
• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, adapt, and manage time effectively
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future
• No employment sponsorship or immigration support available, including CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, TN, E-3, H-1B, O-1, or visa sponsorship
• Proficient in operating computers, fax machines, scanners, photocopiers, typewriters, and telephones
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Frequently sit, talk, or hear; occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
