Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with members of the legal team to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Draft, review, and oversee contracts, agreements, and legal documents pertinent to the company’s operations.

• Assist the legal team in negotiating and finalizing contracts with external parties, guaranteeing compliance and accuracy.

• Conduct research and remain informed about regulatory frameworks and compliance obligations.

• Work closely with internal teams, offering legal guidance and support in daily operations.

• Execute and manage Know Your Customer (“KYC”) processes, with a strong preference for candidates experienced with Synaps or similar platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree. A paralegal certificate is an advantage.

• At least 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, ideally with exposure to legal work related to decentralized finance and blockchains.

• Strong general understanding of legal principles, contracts, and regulatory compliance.

• Familiarity with the legal implications of blockchain technology and smart contracts, along with a basic understanding of the technology.

• Proficient in using compliance platforms.

• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.

• Quick adaptability to the changing regulatory environment in the decentralized finance and blockchain sector.

• Eagerness to continually learn and remain updated on legal changes affecting the industry.

• Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality when handling sensitive legal matters.
