This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Conduct thorough legal research across a diverse array of subject areas.
• Examine, assess, and interpret contracts, legal documents, and regulatory materials.
• Execute detailed reviews of extensive legal documentation to pinpoint inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and potential legal risks.
• Assist in litigation processes, encompassing litigation support, discovery, and eDiscovery tasks.
• Draft, refine, and edit legal summaries, analyses, and explanations.
• Interpret case law and statutes, articulating legal concepts, reasoning, and outcomes clearly in writing.
• Provide structured written feedback for AI training, data annotation, and quality assurance purposes.
• Evaluate complex legal materials for their relevance, risk factors, and consistency.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys, corporate legal departments, compliance teams, and legal operations functions.
• Utilize legal research platforms and document management systems to organize and manage legal materials efficiently.
• Adapt to AI-driven workflows and emerging technologies.
• Operate independently in a remote, deadline-oriented, and quality-focused setting.
• Incorporate feedback and revise work products as necessary.
• Contribute legal expertise to enhance AI support for legal research, contract management, compliance, and litigation assistance.
• Over 7 years of experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, contract manager, legal operations specialist, litigation support, compliance expert, or related legal fields.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Experience in supporting legal research, document review, contract management, litigation, compliance, or regulatory matters.
• Extensive experience in legal drafting and document review.
• Strong legal research capabilities, including case law analysis and statutory interpretation.
• Proven capacity to interpret legal concepts and articulate findings clearly in written form.
• Experience collaborating with attorneys, corporate legal departments, compliance teams, or legal operations functions.
• Demonstrated experience in contract review and interpretation.
• Familiarity with litigation processes and standards for legal documentation.
• Advanced abilities in legal writing, proofreading, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail in written communication and strong editing skills.
• Proficient with legal research platforms and document management systems.
• Ability to assess complex content and provide structured written feedback.
• Experience working autonomously in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
• Strong judgment, critical thinking skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Availability to commit approximately 30–40 hours per week for the entire engagement.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in the legal field.
• Experience within law firms, corporate legal departments, compliance teams, or government entities.
• Proven experience reviewing substantial volumes of legal documentation with high accuracy and consistency.
• Background in corporate governance, risk management, regulatory analysis, or compliance.
• Experience in due diligence, contract management, discovery support, and ensuring the quality of legal documentation.
• Comfort with AI tools, AI training workflows, data annotation, and large language models (LLMs).
• A tech-savvy mindset with the ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies.
• Willingness to accept feedback and revise work products based on reviews and quality standards.
• Experience in supporting compliance or risk management functions in addition to traditional legal support roles.
• Familiarity with eDiscovery tools and processes.
