This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Operate all machinery within the designated work area while adhering to quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Manage and switch over specified equipment as required.
• Execute changeovers, periodic deep cleans, and cleanouts in accordance with work instructions and checklists.
• Ensure that necessary supplies for the assigned work area are maintained.
• Accurately complete HACCP, military, and other mandatory documentation.
• Carry out cleaning, inspection, and lubrication tasks (CILs).
• Communicate effectively with team leaders and colleagues.
• Adhere to the proper escalation protocol.
• Promote and uphold a safe working environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the manufacturing area in line with 5S standards.
• Actively participate in TPM teams.
• Halt the process upon identifying a non-conformance, following established escalation procedures.
• Recognize and implement opportunities for improvement, making recommendations to the team lead.
• Provide training or perform duties of other associates in the area as required.
• High School diploma or Grade 12, or an equivalent qualification.
• An associate degree or higher in an engineering or manufacturing-related field is preferred.
• Medium-level skills in math, communication, computer usage, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong skills in math, communication, computer usage, and problem-solving are preferred.
• Experience in a TPM environment is desirable.
• A minimum of two years' experience in a food-related manufacturing setting with automated processes, including PLC/HMI, is preferred.
• Familiarity with a lean manufacturing environment or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Capability to frequently push, pull, dump, and roll barrels weighing between 25–105 kgs.
• Ability to regularly clean out extruders, cooling tunnels, and conveyor systems using scraping tools.
• Proficiency in frequently lifting and carrying materials.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently.
• Capability to move skids using a pallet jack or forklift on a regular basis.
• Ability to reach, push, pull, stoop, and bend frequently.
