P2P Appeals Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contact payers to arrange Peer to Peer discussions with CorroHealth Medical Directors

• Reach out to payers regarding cases that have exceeded the scheduled Peer to Peer timeframe

• Record details from payer communications in CorroHealth’s proprietary system

• Update account statuses across various databases

• Assist with case entry, Peer to Peer processes, and appeals functions within the department

• Operate independently while also collaborating within a team environment

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned

• Allocate approximately 90% of the workday to phone interactions

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory

• Bachelor’s degree is desirable

• Experience in a call center setting is preferred

• Familiarity with denial processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial/Managed Care products is advantageous

• Previous experience with hospital EMRs and payer portals is preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Capability to utilize Excel formulas for addition, subtraction, and multiplication

• Ability to copy and paste within cells and create multiple worksheets in a workbook

• Accurate keyboarding skills

• Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Detail-oriented with the capacity to multitask across various screens and applications

• Competent in problem-solving, seeking resolutions, and taking initiative

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting

• Commitment to maintaining client and sensitive information confidentiality

• Strict compliance with HIPAA/HITECH regulations

• Availability required Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–8:00 PM EST

• Must reside within the United States
