• Actively identify opportunities to align customer needs with the products and services provided by Direct Investing through effective communication and probing techniques.
• Adhere to established performance metrics for all forms of client communication, whether verbal or written.
• Maintain a professional representation of RBC and RBC Direct Investing Inc. at all times.
• Promote the features and functionalities of the RBC Direct Investing website and mobile applications, while proactively identifying self-service options for clients.
• Deliver knowledgeable, accurate, engaging, responsive, and professional services to clients, ensuring prompt and courteous execution of trade instructions via telephone or electronic means, all in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Comprehend and adhere to industry regulations (e.g., CIRO, Provincial, etc.) as well as RBC Enterprise and RBC Direct Investing Inc. policies and procedures in all tasks performed.
• Precisely execute client instructions within designated authorities and ensure clients are equipped to fulfill trade settlement obligations.
• Capability to work autonomously with demonstrated time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to multitask effectively.
• A university or college degree/diploma or a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a client service role.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal, written, and transcription), coupled with analytical, organizational, and time management abilities, as well as keen attention to detail.
• Outstanding customer service abilities, complemented by friendly and professional telephone manners.
• Quebec: Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
• Successful completion of the following required exams is a condition of employment:
• The Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam must be completed within 15 weeks of the start date OR the candidate must have completed and maintained a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification level 1 or higher, along with CIRO Mandatory Conduct Training, which must be accomplished within 15 days of obtaining licensing approval from CIRO. The Derivatives Exam must be completed within 35 weeks of the start date.
