• Generates and cultivates new business to achieve designated production objectives.
• Maintains and fosters ongoing client relationships.
• Responds promptly and professionally to all inquiries and requests.
• Prepares and delivers sales proposals.
• Plans and oversees sales territory management.
• Understands and conveys information about company products, services, policies, and procedures to both new and existing clients.
• Collaborates closely with the branch inside sales and management team for coherence.
• Holds and upholds comprehensive knowledge of industry product details.
• Continuously gathers insights on local competition and the prevailing industry and business environment within the region; relays information to management and others as required.
• Negotiates contracts and work agreements.
• Ensures all necessary client documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted punctually.
• Provides timely and precise reports as necessary.
• Participates in business/trade events that impact the business unit.
• Attends and engages in team strategic sales meetings.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Over 5 years of outside sales experience in the same or a similar industry is preferred.
• Proficient with computers; skilled in MS Office 365.
• Familiarity with distribution-specific ERP systems, ideally Eclipse or P21.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented work style, capable of handling multiple priorities while maintaining a consistent work approach.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling, with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Must be able to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
