This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Assist in the day-to-day sales operations of a building materials distribution center.
• Collaborate with customers and colleagues to foster strong relationships built on trust and expertise.
• Capable of managing detailed tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple projects occurring simultaneously.
• Use the DMSi software Agility for order entry, purchasing, and customer information management.
• Acquire and sustain product knowledge through continuous training and learning opportunities.
• Promptly follow up on all quotes and address customer service claims in a timely manner.
• Understanding the unique needs and objectives of customers is crucial; aim to cultivate long-term relationships.
• Initiate projects and processes that extend beyond standard practices when instructed.
• Recognize and nurture customer opportunities, formulating strategies to successfully close those opportunities.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales and/or marketing with a focus on territory management.
• Preferred 1-2 years of experience in the building materials sector or a comparable industry.
• High School Diploma required.
• Must have a clean driving record for the last 5 years.
