Outside Loan Originator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Identify and source mortgage leads

• Develop professional relationships with real estate agents and other lead sources

• Assess potential loan markets and establish referral networks to find loan prospects

• Promote CCM products and services to both individuals and firms

• Meet with applicants to gather loan application information and address process-related inquiries

• Evaluate applicants’ financial status, credit history, and property assessments to determine loan viability

• Clarify available loan types, credit options, and service conditions

• Compile complete loan applications along with necessary documentation

• Notify applicants of additional requirements and enhance application documentation

• Address customer inquiries and respond to their requests

• Manage customer complaints and resolve them effectively

• Maintain communication with real estate agents or referral sources

• Collaborate with processing and underwriting teams to address mortgage application issues

• Stay updated on job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations

• Engage in mortgage sales activities, including closings, open houses, CCM seminars/trainings, and other lead-generating events

⛳️ Requirements

• NMLS License is mandatory under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008

• Familiarity with retail product philosophy, policies, underwriting, procedures, documentation, and systems

• Proven experience in proactively seeking new business

• Encompass experience is preferred

• In-depth knowledge of mortgage products and programs

• Strong analytical skills for evaluating credit requests and identifying market trends

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Proficiency in standard software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
