Outreach Specialist, Pharmacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage and execute a high volume of outbound and inbound calls with patients, providers, and pharmacies by utilizing established scripts and protocols while achieving performance targets.

• Work closely with patients to identify and eliminate barriers to medication adherence, escalating clinical issues to a pharmacist when necessary.

• Address patient concerns and hesitations through influence, empathy, and education to ensure commitment to medication adherence.

• Collaborate with medical providers or pharmacies to guarantee that prescription refills are processed as scheduled.

• Accurately record interactions, outcomes, and identified obstacles in the designated systems.

• Spot opportunities to improve pharmacy workflows and processes.

• Engage in training and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing to enhance expertise in pharmacy quality metrics, including STARs.

• Provide constructive feedback, share best practices, and support colleagues in reaching program, departmental, and organizational objectives.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma.

• At least 1 year of experience in a call center setting focused on patient outreach.

• Consistent and reliable attendance.

• Availability to work any shift between 8 AM - 7 PM EST, with potential evening and Saturday coverage as required by business demands.

• Exceptional verbal communication, active listening, and negotiation abilities.

• Capability to overcome objections and foster rapport with patients or customers.

• Proficient in call center platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changes.

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Must have access to a reliable high-speed internet connection.

• Willingness to spend extended periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
