Outreach Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversees social media platforms (such as Facebook and Instagram) to ensure that all support requirements of the Recovering Service Members (RSM) are fulfilled.

• Must address requests for assistance on applications or social media platforms within sixty (60) minutes during operational hours and within two hours of returning from non-operational periods.

• Identifies emerging issues or trends and coordinates referrals to relevant programs, case managers, or support organizations.

• Aids in follow-up actions, special outreach initiatives, and reporting obligations to support program leadership.

• Maintains an understanding of benefits, entitlements, and support services related to medical care, transition assistance, education, employment, family support, and quality-of-life services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• At least two (2) years of experience in client-facing support or service coordination roles that involve direct client communication, proactive follow-up, and connection to suitable resources.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the capability to build rapport and trust.

• Familiarity with Marine Corps culture.

• Knowledge and understanding of the variety of support resources and benefits available to Wounded Warriors, including general eligibility and access processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software and capable of using software to prepare reports and provide information.

• Strong technological skills, along with the ability to navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously.

• High data entry/typing proficiency with a strong focus on accuracy.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Capable of documenting outreach efforts and coordinating follow-up actions with case managers or supervisors.

• Able to operate within structured protocols and escalation procedures.

• Competent in working with diverse populations with varying needs.
