Outpatient Psychiatrist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and create tailored treatment plans.

• Administer psychopharmacological interventions when suitable.

• Oversee ongoing medication management for patients in outpatient and residential substance use settings.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of medications and monitor for side effects.

• Provide psychoeducation to both patients and their families.

• Act as a liaison between medical and behavioral health teams, utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed care approaches.

• Collaborate with colleagues, case coordinators, and community partners.

• Share expertise in telemedicine policy and best practices.

• Engage in clinical consultations and collaborative efforts to enhance patient care.

• Ensure that all records are complete and accurate, adhering to professional standards.

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR regulations regarding patient confidentiality.

• Work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary behavioral healthcare team.

⛳️ Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.

• Possession of Iowa medical licensure (or eligibility to secure it).

• Current DEA registration.

• National Provider Identifier (NPI).

• Proficient in using telemedicine platforms to provide care to rural and satellite areas.

• Strong, authentic dedication to treating individuals with dignity, respect, and faith in their potential.

• Experienced-level candidate with a minimum experience requirement classified as Experienced.
