Outpatient Coder II, HB Coding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Apply your technical coding skills to assign the correct ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for various outpatient visit types.

• Conduct a comprehensive review of medical records, leveraging all available documentation to code the appropriate diagnoses and procedures.

• Utilize your understanding of anatomy, physiology, clinical disease processes, pharmacology, and medical terminology to interpret health record documentation and accurately report diagnoses and/or procedures.

• Issue relevant physician queries as necessary to clarify documentation.

• Adhere to Coding Clinic for HCPCs and CPT Assistant, interpreting coding conventions and instructional notes to select the appropriate diagnoses and procedures with a minimum accuracy of 95%.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-4 years of coding experience within an acute healthcare environment.

• Possession of RHIT, RHIA, or CCS credentials.

• Capability to operate with minimal supervision.
