This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Evaluate and document the existing state of OT/DCS technologies, control strategies, data flows, and system architectures in partnership with site personnel.
• Create and sustain a strategic roadmap for OT and DCS modernization that aligns with business objectives and cybersecurity regulations.
• Lead and support digital transformation initiatives within OT environments by utilizing IIoT, data analytics, and automation technologies.
• Work alongside IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure integration of OT systems with the enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to ensure consistency and promote standardization and integration within the overall enterprise architecture.
• Leverage data analysis and industry benchmarks to pinpoint efficiency and reliability enhancements across process control systems.
• Partner with data and analytics teams to establish and develop the Digital Thread, facilitating end-to-end visibility from operations through enterprise systems.
• Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with OT vendors, outlining technology roadmaps that ensure a reliable, scalable, and future-ready OT infrastructure.
• Organize value stream mapping workshops to uncover opportunities for waste elimination, throughput improvement, and optimization of control and operational processes.
• Create and present persuasive, data-driven business cases for OT investments, prioritizing initiatives based on ROI, risk reduction, and operational impact.
• Assist in defining, adopting, and enforcing OT standards and best practices for system lifecycle management, upgrades, and vendor governance.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure the OT strategy remains current, compliant, and forward-looking.
• Encourage knowledge sharing across plants and teams, promoting cross-functional collaboration and consistent OT practices throughout the enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Operational Technology roles within manufacturing or chemical process industries.
• Profound understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and associated industrial automation technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in developing OT strategies, technology roadmaps, and supporting plant modernization initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and operations.
• Proven capability to utilize data-driven decision-making to discover opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
