This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Oversee OSP engineering activities for road relocation and highway expansion projects, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Liaise with DOT, municipalities, utilities, and contractors to synchronize relocation strategies with road construction timelines.
• Conduct field surveys, site visits, and impact evaluations on aerial, buried, and underground infrastructure.
• Create engineering designs, construction packages, and relocation strategies for fiber/copper cabling, pole transfers, conduit modifications, and associated facilities.
• Provide cost assessments, material inventories, and project schedules.
• Act as the primary engineering liaison throughout the planning, permitting, and construction stages.
• Maintain precise documentation, including as-builts, CAD drawings, GIS updates, and permit submissions.
• Collaborate effectively with Construction, Planning, and Permitting teams.
• Ensure adherence to RUS, NESC, and company design standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5+ years of OSP Engineering experience, particularly in roadway relocation or utility coordination projects.
• In-depth knowledge of OSP design (both aerial and underground), construction practices, and permitting processes.
• Experience collaborating with state DOTs, municipalities, and third-party contractors.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft Office, and OSP design software.
• Exceptional project management, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously in field settings and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Adaptable and flexible, able to respond to evolving project requirements.
• Strong listening skills with the capacity to follow instructions and incorporate feedback efficiently.
