Organ Placement Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide round-the-clock coverage for organ placement coordination, overseeing donor organ offers through various phases post-transplant recipient.

• Effectively communicate and collaborate with transplant centers, surgeons, and donor organizations.

• Comply with OPTN policies and ensure adherence to transplant regulations.

• Carefully review donor and recipient charts and facilitate real-time documentation for accepted cases.

• Ensure smooth coordination of transplant logistics by utilizing standard templates and workflows.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team training and education.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in organ procurement organizations (OPOs), transplant centers, or acute care environments (ICU, Emergency Department, or transplant units) is preferred.

• Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills in high-pressure situations.

• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and UNet DonorNet/Waitlist.

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

• Capability to work independently while engaging with a remote team.
