Oracle DBA, Data Processing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee and monitor Oracle production databases, including logs, backups, performance, and security measures.

• Administer user accounts, access controls, patch management, and database recovery protocols.

• Design and enhance database objects, focusing on PL/SQL and SQL optimization.

• Evaluate performance metrics utilizing AWR, ADDM, and execution plans.

• Carry out data processing activities, including data loading, transformation, validation, and delivery to clients.

• Maintain data quality through quality control processes, thorough documentation, and comprehensive reporting.

• Assist development teams and address client data inquiries.

• Engage in change management, disaster recovery planning, and initiatives for process enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience as an **Oracle DBA in production settings**.

• Strong expertise in **PL/SQL**, including the creation of procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.

• Experience with **UNIX/Linux** environments and shell scripting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of:

• - Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and OEM.

• - SQL tuning and performance evaluation.

• - AWR and ADDM analysis tools.

• - RMAN backup and recovery procedures.

• - Quarterly Oracle security patch management.

• - Design principles for tables, indexes, and schemas.

• Experience in managing client data files, including loading, transformation, and vendor transfers.

• Proficiency in technical documentation and data quality assurance.
