OPI/VRI Uzbek – English Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uzbekistan.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Understand the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates (specifically healthcare and medical).

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Implement standards of practice diligently.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Demonstrate a willingness to pursue new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code policies for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Uzbek".

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation within a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a beneficial asset.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are advantageous (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Elevated emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
