OPI/VRI Medical Mandarin/English Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Conduct video and audio interpreting sessions effectively and professionally.

• Document company-provided information during interpreting sessions when necessary.

• Exhibit the capability to swiftly adapt to new and evolving technologies.

• Follow ethical standards and procedural guidelines pertinent to the interpreting context.

• Show dedication to cultural sensitivity and thrive in a diverse work environment.

• Display respect for and an understanding of our Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients’ cultures, dialects, beliefs, and preferences.

• Possess a strong aptitude and enthusiasm for customer service and interpreting.

• Maintain professionalism throughout video and audio sessions.

• Communicate clearly in both languages, utilizing proper pronunciation, enunciation, and courteous expressions.

• Accurately convey concepts and meanings in accordance with interpreting protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient and possess strong verbal communication abilities in both the source and target languages (Mandarin, Cantonese to English and vice versa).

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking capabilities to ensure a high level of accuracy during interpretation.

• Successful completion of a proficiency assessment or possession of a national certification.

• In-depth knowledge of ethical codes and standards of practice (IMIA, NBCMI, and NCIHC).

• Must be at least 18 years old.
