📋 Description

• Generate demand through clinical selling and education directed at referring and treating healthcare providers regarding Cortrophin Gel and ILUVIEN.

• Develop and implement a territory strategy along with account-specific plans to enhance physician and patient identification, market development, and brand recognition in the fields of Ophthalmology and Retina, while consistently evaluating sales prospects within markets and accounts to sustain and expand the business.

• Prioritize and manage resources, activities, and time effectively to optimize access to and development of accounts with the highest sales potential.

• Create individualized account plans for key accounts and physicians, detailing strategies for customer engagement and maximizing sales outcomes.

• Establish and nurture relationships with physicians by optimizing their time through pre-call planning, leveraging insights for a tailored call strategy, and conducting post-call evaluations to continuously refine and enhance their approach.

• Collaborate with members of the Ophthalmology brand team, facilitating appropriate cooperation with other departments, such as MSLs, Market Access teams, patient HUBs, and other internal stakeholders, to ensure access and logistics are in place for patients to benefit from Cortrophin Gel and ILUVIEN.

• Partner with key accounts and physicians externally to enhance patient identification through market development and physician education; formulate a territory strategy for customer retention.

• Uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; an advanced degree in business or science is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of proven success in rare disease, retina, and/or specialty pharmaceutical sales.

• Significant experience in engaging Retina Specialists, Ophthalmologists, and Eye Care Professionals is highly preferred.

• Sales experience across multiple ophthalmology sub-specialties is ideal/preferred.

• Experience in product launches is advantageous, as is a working knowledge of government and commercial payers.

• Required understanding and experience with in-house patient support services.

• Familiarity with the buy and bill process, patient services, and specialty channel distribution is preferred.

• Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Experience in leading and executing territory-level business planning activities.

• A valid driver's license is necessary, with the capacity to travel over 50% of the time as needed, including occasional overnight trips.

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for physician or patient events (both in-person and virtual).

• Depending on geographic location, the ability to manage a multi-state territory with a diverse customer base is essential.
