Operations Specialist – Information Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the data and supplier coordination framework that ensures the platform operates effectively for enterprise clients.

• Perform around 60% of your tasks using Excel for data management, which includes cleaning, structuring, and validating supplier, product, and quantity information to guarantee error-free sourcing events.

• Dedicate 40% of your time to engaging with existing US-based suppliers through phone calls and emails to maintain their involvement on the platform.

• Manage a client account independently from start to finish within 90 days, handling back-end operations and communication effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2+ years of practical experience with Microsoft Excel in a professional setting (not through coursework or training), including proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, and IF formulas.

• Proven ability to clean, normalize, and validate datasets using formula-driven methods (avoiding hard-coded values), along with performing quality checks on data and comparing extracted information with source documents.

• Experience in constructing structured, replicable Excel models that can be followed by others.

• Familiarity with making outbound calls to US-based suppliers, vendors, or business associates in a professional role.

• C1+ level English (CEFR) — both spoken and written — for direct communication with US-based suppliers.

• Residing in LATAM and available to work within one hour of US Eastern Time.

• Nice-to-Have: 1–2 years of experience in management consulting or at a boutique advisory firm, hands-on experience in procurement or supply chain (including tactical purchasing and operational supplier relationship management), proficiency in Python for data manipulation or automation, and prior exposure to e-procurement or sourcing platforms.
