This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assist individuals in maintaining compliance, ensuring accurate tax filings, and supporting financial operations for smooth and dependable outcomes during tax season and beyond.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of current workflows (involving people, tools, handoffs, and bottlenecks).
• Establish a streamlined operating rhythm (including weekly priorities, check-ins, escalation paths, and follow-ups).
• Standardize delivery processes across essential services (from intake to execution, review, and client delivery).
• Create and sustain standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and templates to minimize errors and prevent rework.
• Enhance client onboarding and regular touchpoints to ensure predictable and proactive delivery.
• Set up tracking and dashboards to enable leadership to quickly respond to inquiries such as “where are we on X?”
• Collaborate closely with leadership and functional leads to prioritize tasks, remove roadblocks, and drive execution.
• Address cross-functional needs as they arise (including support for sales, marketing operations, customer support processes, and product/operations coordination).
• Experience as a founder or early operator in a high-growth startup environment (preferably with unicorn experience).
• Proven ability to work across various functions (sales, marketing, support, product, operations) and readiness to engage in less glamorous tasks when necessary.
• Strong skills in process and project management (including SOPs, checklists, operating rhythms, and dashboards).
• Proficiency in AI tools: comfortable utilizing AI (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude/Copilot) for drafting, summarizing, analyzing, and automating routine tasks.
• Exceptional written and verbal English skills (with an emphasis on clear asynchronous communication).
• High sense of ownership combined with humility: you take initiative, address issues proactively, and do not wait for instructions.
• Strong judgment skills and capability to prioritize under tight deadlines.
• Remote position with a requirement for overlap with US Central Time.
