Operations Freight Dispatcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify, evaluate, and cultivate relationships with motor carriers (trucking companies) for freight transportation.

• Discover, assess, and onboard new motor carriers to meet capacity requirements, frequently utilizing transportation management systems (TMS).

• Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers to guarantee cost-effective and competitive pricing.

• Address and resolve issues related to carrier performance, including missed appointments, tracking discrepancies, and equipment malfunctions.

• Develop and sustain long-term partnerships with carriers to ensure consistent and reliable capacity.

• Oversee compliance with carrier safety standards, insurance requirements, and contractual commitments.

• Resolve operational, billing, and service-related challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of prior experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or logistics coordination.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of transportation modes, rate structures, and supply chain network design.

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

• Familiarity with CRM software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
