This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Lead the strategic and operational planning initiatives for the studio in collaboration with the Studio Head, General Manager, and the project leadership team.
• Serve as the main contact and escalation point between the studio and central PlayStation departments (HR, IT, legal, infosec, etc.) to prioritize tasks and ensure timely deliverables.
• Alongside the Studio Head, manage and prioritize the backlog of leadership tasks, including strategic initiatives and action items.
• Oversee and enhance the rhythm of the business (ROB) in alignment with the overall PlayStation ROB calendar, including financial submissions and budget planning.
• Spearhead the execution of strategic initiatives and special projects as a member of the studio leadership team.
• Supervise studio IT functions, ensuring compliance with PlayStation information security standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with the HR team and internal studio managers on all personnel and talent processes, including evaluations and compensation.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of studio requirements, including daily operational needs, usage of existing systems/services/spaces, ongoing projects, and IT operations.
• Generate accurate forecasts and manage the Studio Operational budgets.
• Develop regular communications tailored for the studio, stakeholders, and both internal and external partners.
• Build, mentor, and lead the Operations team within the studio, working with them to set near-term goals and support their career aspirations.
• Promote a culture of trust, feedback, and continuous learning in collaboration with Craft and Management leaders.
• Monitor and refine organizational structures and rituals to align with product development and team requirements.
• Foster a motivating and rewarding studio culture to create one of the best environments in the industry for game development.
• Establish standards for effective people management and exemplify those standards.
• Collaborate with other studio leaders to ensure adherence to studio best practices.
• Proven operational, management, and leadership experience with teams of 75 or more individuals.
• Strong project management abilities, including constructing and maintaining work backlogs, tracking progress, scheduling, and driving projects to completion.
• Experience in navigating and managing contracts, reviewing agreements, and handling external business relationships.
• Technical decision-making experience regarding studio infrastructure in collaboration with internal engineering and IT teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to deliver executive presentations and communicate effectively across the studio.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new methods and processes and adapt them to meet critical business needs.
• Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills, capable of leading high-value meetings, navigating challenging conversations, and establishing clear action items and accountability.
• Proven aptitude for understanding, simplifying, and solving problems in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Experience in effectively managing personnel issues and fostering a high-performance team.
• Familiarity with agile/scrum development methodologies.
• Experience leading teams in a hybrid work environment.
